Contract Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced contract specialist to track contract funding and costs for various contract types and to perform accounts receivable duties.  Assist the CFO with contract administration and financial analysis support.       


  • Identify and resolve issues related to contract modifications, contract values, and contract deliverables

  • Track and prepare subcontract modifications, and process subcontractor invoices

  • Prepare projected costs for various contracts

  • Prepare contract deliverables and other client required financial reporting

  • Reconcile contract costs to general ledger

  • Assist CFO to assess overall contract performance and operations

  • Prepare and submit client invoices

  • Manage client invoice payments

  • Manage consultant agreements and renewals

  • Analyze and examine detail accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist CFO with proposals

Experience Requirements:

  • Proficient utilization of Deltek GCS or CostPoint

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in a DoD contract atmosphere

  • High level of proficiency with MS Excel

  • Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles, and regulations/legal requirements

  • Knowledge of FAR compliance

  • Knowledge of WAWF

Highly Desired:

  • Special mission equipment test and evaluation experience

  • Strong understanding of the NAWCAD T&E process

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business field.  Will consider relevant experience in lieu of formal degree

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as work requirements demand.


Occasional travel may be required for this position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

This position requires an active US DoD Secret clearance.
